Marie Curie Library
The Marie Curie Library's main aim is to offer essential high quality services and provide information support to ICTP researchers, visitors and participants in the activities organized by the Centre.
Fully computerized, it houses one of the largest collections of specialized literature in physics and mathematics in Europe, and covers an area of 3,200 square meters. More than 66,000 books and 439 current print subscriptions extend over nearly 5,000 linear meters of shelving. A comfortable environment with 70 reading places is available to work or study.
Access to 3,600 e-journals and several leading scientific databases is possible from 12 workstations located inside the Library, as well as from all computers across campus.
As the Centre's focal point, the Marie Curie Library is visited each year by some 3,000 scientists mostly coming from developing countries. By taking advantage of the facilities offered, visitors work, study and collect material which is often unavailable or not easily accessible in home institutions.
The Marie Curie Library is located on the first floor of the Leonardo Building.
